Hello! I’m Michael Gilbert. A business consultant with a 30 year legal career. Lately I have been specialising in assisting clients with corporate compliance processes including ISO9001 & ACC audits, plus various Health and Safety processes.

I was a Director and Chairman of the Nelson Building Society from 1988 to 1999 during which time the Building Society grew six-fold in assets. I was responsible for corporate goverance and restructuring the society to take advantage of deregulation.

Environmental Trust Formation
Marlborough Sounds Restoration Trust
2005 - Present

I co-founded this environmental trust for the purposes of controlling the wilding pines to enable restoration of the native bush in the Marlborough Sounds. It has recieved over $2 million in funding and has successfully eradicated a large number of wilding pine trees allowing the native bush to regenerate.
